President of the National Council for Human Rights receives the French Ambassador for Human Rights at the council's headquarters

Dr. Ahmed Ihab Gamaleldin, President of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR), received Ms. Isabelle Rome, France's Ambassador for Human Rights, and her accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, Vice President of NCHR, and Dr. Hany Ibrahim, Secretary-General of NCHR.

 

During the meeting, Dr. Gamaleldin reviewed NCHR's efforts to promote and protect human rights in Egypt in fulfillment of its constitutional and legal mandate and in accordance with the international standards governing the work of national human rights institutions.

 

The meeting also featured an exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest. Both sides expressed their interest in maintaining dialogue and exploring opportunities for cooperation between NCHR and its counterpart in France during the coming period..
