Khattab Participated in the meetings of experts of the African Commission on the Rights and Welfare of the Child

Ambassador Moshira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR); participated in the meetings of the 40th session of the African Committee of Experts on Child Rights and Welfare in Maseru, capital city of Lesotho, Southern Africa. During a meeting of the Working Group on the Rights of Children with Disabilities in Africa to discuss the study on the status of the rights of children with disabilities in Africa, the expert concerned with the development of the study praised Egypt's response as one of the countries that responded to the requests of the expert who is preparing the study, especially with regard to the efforts made to use technology. Information and its applications in prosthetic devices that adopt information technology to enforce the rights of persons with disabilities "Technology and assistive devices to protect and promote the rights of persons with disabilities". The committee called on Egypt to share its successful experience in the use of technology and technological tools to enforce the rights of children with disabilities and raise awareness of them, and praised Law No. 10 of 2018 on the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities, stated this, noting Khattab, Chairperson of the National Council for Human Rights, who is participating in the expert committee meeting. The Vice-Chairman of the African Commission for the Rights of the African Child, Anne Musiwa, successfully presented the workshop organized by the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) on the sidelines of the Climate Summit on "the repercussions of climate change on the human rights of children in the world, specifically on the African continent." She also praised the success of the Cop27 Climate Summit.
